Washington Commanders @commandersNFL Inform OC Candidates Sam Howell Likely 2023 Starting QB

The Washington Commanders have moved on from Scott Turner as Offensive Coordinator, and have started their search for the new OC. According to Jonathan Jones from CBS Sports, the Commanders have informed OC candidates that Sam Howell is the likely starting QB in 2023. This is pretty massive considering how important it is to be transparent with the layout and goals of the offense to the new possible OC. Washington must really believe that Howell has the potential next year to be a winning QB, and taking them out of the conversation for a big trade for a veteran QB, and drafting another QB this NFL Draft. The Commanders know how huge it is to have a starting QB on a rookie contract, while you use the money elsewhere to build a roster around the young QB.
